The Poz Home Center Foundation
Established since May 2005, in the Bangna area, Bangkok, the Poz Home Center is the home for friends and families to meet up. Even though it has been originally set up for people who affected by HIV and AIDS, it welcomes everyone (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and others) to seek useful information relating to HIV prevention, HIV care and support, sexual health, counseling, or a place called home. The Poz has sexual diversity staff members who can provide fun, safe and confidential conversation.
The Poz Home Center is the longest-standing civil society organization who provides high quality care and support services to HIV positive gay men, men who have sex with men and transgender people and their families.
Our goal is to be the center that collects information from a range of sources and then disseminates that information to people with HIV in ways that help them take better care of their health as well as exercise their right to health care services.
Achievement As of November 2016,
** The Poz Home Center has provided care and support services to 1,520 PLHIVs throughout Thailand.
** We trained 92 PLHIV case managers from 8 CSOs in Thailand to provide high quality care and support. The knowledge and skills include HIV, OIs, STIs, gender, stigma and discrimination reduction activities and how to access appropriate treatments.
** We trained 2,000 people for reproduction and sexual health, HIV and risk reduction issues.
